  • As the machine made sudsy turns, the man took a little less than a minute to unshackle himself

The Washing Machine Man knows something about making a big splash. He's is an escape artist known for such death-defying stunts as being suspended from beneath a hot air balloon and escaping from a straitjacket.

But his most famous ― and dangerous ― stunt involves getting out of a washing machine while handcuffed and shackled.

Travis from iwonder TV, flew out from Chicago to meet with the Rick Maisel.  Rick Maisel demonstrated how he escapes from the deadly washing machine.

“I can escape from any washing machine, any brand in the world, as long as it has at least a 14-inch door and a 27-inch drum,

"Maisel says in the video before folding himself into the front-loading washer.

“I have successfully escaped from 40 brands of washing machines in 42 countries.”

For most people, just being able to fit into a washing machine would be a feat unto itself.

Then there’s the spinning, the soap and all that water.

The Washing Machine Man makes things even harder by wearing five pairs of handcuffs and two pairs of leg irons.

“Not only can I drown because there’s so much soap and water in there, but I can also get knocked out by the 20 pounds of handcuffs and and leg irons that are also spinning around in the washing machine with me,” he said.

Don’t not try this at home!
