This man is the world’s most ‘illustrated penguin’, as a rare disease caused his hands to protrude directly from his shoulders – but it hasn’t stopped him from ‘living life to the fullest’.

Born with an incredibly extreme form of TAR Syndrome – a rare genetic disorder causing the absence of bones in the arm, 32-year-old Jason Brott is a real medical marvel.

With his hands attached to his shoulders, short-stature, and with 80% of his body being covered in tattoos, Jason goes by the nickname the ‘Illustrated Penguin’.

Despite missing the entirety of his arms, Jason insists he lives life indifferent from anyone else, as he’s able to feed himself, get dressed and even skateboard, with a little perseverance.

Subjected to harsh ridicule and bullying during his childhood, the former side-show performer urged others to ‘never judge a book by its cover’ when he spoke to Travis Hoefle from iwonder TV about his ‘fulfilling life’.

The MC and stage performer, from Baltimore, Maryland, who has a bifurcated tongue said:

“Time has changed a lot for kids, but I got bullied and picked-on – you just can’t let anyone beat up on you.

“You’ve got to be strong and just know that when we get older, your life will get better.

“I eat pretty much the same way as you do – I live my life just as you do.

“I just have to do a few things a little differently to get along during the day.

“I get stared at and people look at me, but I don’t really notice it.

“If I were to stop for every person that stares at me, I wouldn’t get anywhere in life.

“I know I look a little weird and odd, but I’ve had a very fulfilling life.

“So next time you see someone that’s a little interesting, don’t judge a book by its cover.”
