Visiting The Most Haunted Place In Chicago With A Ghost Hunter

If there’s something strange in your neighborhood – at least in Chicago, Illinois – Ghost hunter David Olson of Chicago Paranormal Investigators is the person to call.
David Olson is a paranormal investigator with over ten years of experience in hunting ghosts.
With over 50 investigations under his belt, Dave has managed to capture all sorts of evidence of the paranormal including pictures and video.
Funny enough, Dave was never a believer in ghosts until he came face to face with one on a ghost hunt.
Considered to be a real-life ghostbuster, police officer David investigates the supernatural in his purpose-built mystery machine – a converted ambulance that cost more than 80,000 GBP (100,000 USD) to design.
The refurbished ambulance and mobile command centre which he dubs “Misty”. allows Dave and his team to monitor a haunting through a 16 channel DVR system.
Kitted out with the latest state-of-the-art technology, Dave and his team stepped inside the Congress Theatre in the heart of the city to find out what spooky on-goings may be occurring behind the historic doors that haven’t been opened since 2013.
“The Congress Theater, in my opinion, is one of the most haunted locations in the city,” says Dave Olson.
The investigation into the Congress Theatre included a walkthrough with psychic medium Susan Rowlen who was able to locate areas within the building that she believed to have paranormal activity.
Using high-frequency recorders, the team call out “Is there a little boy here?” in the basement of the former movie theatre and are stunned when they hear what they believe to be the voice of a child respond “Kevin”.
One of the more heart-wrenching voices that the investigators heard while ghost hunting was of a small child whimpering the word “mommy”.
Ghost hunter Dave wanted to dig a little deeper and by using a flashlight in the theatre’s projection room, he believes that he may have interacted with the child ghost.
Video evidence shows the flashlight turning on, seemingly by itself, as Dave prompts questions for the spirit.
Through this method, they are able to decipher that the child is a 7-year-old boy.
“I just can’t believe it. This is probably the best evidence that I’ve ever captured.
And, this backs up the psychic mediums, what she felt, and the EVP’s, we got with the little boy coming through saying “mommy”. And, now we have it interacting with the flashlight.
“well to this day it still bugs me. We never got to go back there to follow up and do a follow-up investigation.
I really wanted to send the boy to the light, if at all possible, if he was willing to go.”
